A post-apocalyptic Affair
I imagine that this couple left Cuba when the Revolution came in 1959. They’ve returned to look at the ruins. At least that’s how they see it. They are still affluent, at a distance from reality as the rich are. The buildings represent housing for the working people in Cuba. The rich are trying to decide whether to invest in Cuba now or just vacation here. It’s trench warfare without fighting. Time is the main weapon. The motto is “Money never loses.”
