Paralelas (Parallels)

Cuba has had women designers in the past, but now there are many more. In 1994, 90 percent of the graduates at the Institute of Superior Design, our school for graphic arts, were male. By 2002, when Michele Hollands and Giselle Monzon (pictured) graduated, there were five or six females. Now women make up almost half of our graduates.
